Story:
War Lord stood looking bored as could be as October braided his thick long mane and saddled him. He was quiet as she swung into the saddle as well...he even walked to the practice ring without a fuss. October almost wondered if he was ill. As she collected him and asked him to extend his trot is when he realized this wasn't just a practice round. He collected himself before she could even slid the reins through her hands, applied pressure to the bit to give him and October a better source of communication and stretched his stride as far as he could. October took him to the middle of the ring to wait for their names once she knew he was ready. The loudspeaker came to life announcing them as the first pair up. October walked him up to the main ring and halted waiting for the judges permission to begin. War Lord was perfect all the up to his canter October shifted her weight and asked for a canter, he went right into a sweeping rocking canter but sped up a bit to much. October sat back a little and whispered easy to him; he just over collected himself and kept going. October couldn't help but smile at her big stubborn stallion. Always doing as he should, but only if it's his way.
